Special attention is paid to word-formation models, through which the names of objects, persons, phenomena, abstract concepts and processes are formed in different languages derivation. It is revealed that in the Russian language a significant role is played by prefix-suffix and suffix models, while in the Uzbek language the most productive are affixal and analytical methods of formation. Comparative analysis shows that the differences in the formation of nouns are due to the typological nature of the languages: Russian is inflectional, and Uzbek is agglutinative language.
