Abstract

The famous world-famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov said this about our past history and ancestors. “Just as Ancient Greece occupied a place in European civilization as a center of civilization, Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people occupy the same place in the history of all Turkic lands and Turkic peoples.” Indeed, the First World War (1905-1907) in Tsarist Russia at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries and the February (1917) Russian Revolution did not fail to have an impact on colonial Turkestan. It is known that historically, during this period, in our people, in addition to the intensification of the tyrannical colonial oppression of Tsarist Russia, economic, political, cultural, and spiritual poverty, fanaticism, and lack of enlightenment increased. At such a time, disintegration, scattered popular uprisings and uprisings were increasingly intensified, and unnecessary bloodshed and suffering were escalating, creating a very sad political situation. In response to this, a new socio-political, cultural and enlightened worldview, awakening, that is, the Jadid movement, emerged among the Muslim intelligentsia not only of Turkestan, but also of all of Russia, and began to rise under the slogan of enlightenment against ignorance. One of these was Munavvar qori Abdurashidkhanov, the leading leader of the Jadid movement in our country.
