CHILD CONSCIOUSNESS AS A NARRATIVE PRINCIPLE IN THE WORKS OF PAVEL SANAEV AND KHUDOYBERDI TOKHTABOYEV

Abstract

The article examines child and adolescent consciousness as a structuring principle of narration in Pavel Sanaev’s Bury Me Behind the Baseboard and Khudoyberdi Tokhtaboyev’s Do Not Throw Stones at a Girl. Using comparative-typological and narratological approaches, it identifies two models of representing childhood: a confessional-memoir model based on internal focalization and a dialogic-scenic model that reveals personality through action, collective speech, and social judgment. Both models affirm the young character as an autonomous subject, while differing in the scale of conflict, spatial organization, and the narrative functions of humor.
