Abstract

The article discusses the features of the artistic space in the novel "Brisbane" by E. Vodolazkin, embodied in the spatial oppositions: "Russia - Europe", "Russia - Ukraine", "Kiev - St. Petersburg". Detailed topography in the novel appears when describing an alien space, the topographic images connected by the metaspace of Brisbane are analyzed.
