Abstract

This article analyzes modern and innovative approaches to organizing students’ independent learning from a scientific and pedagogical perspective. It examines the role of independent learning in higher education, its importance in students’ personal development, and its contribution to the development of independent thinking, creativity, and professional competencies. The article also considers ways to organize students’ independent learning effectively by using digital technologies, interactive methods, and the opportunities offered by the credit-module system. Particular attention is paid to guiding students towards independent inquiry, involving them in research activities, using creative assignments, increasing learning motivation, and providing methodological support by teachers. Based on an analysis of the scholarly views of local and international researchers and relevant pedagogical literature, the theoretical and practical aspects of independent learning are discussed. The findings indicate that organizing independent learning through innovative approaches helps develop students’ engagement, creative thinking, and professional competencies.
