Abstract

This article proposes an integrated model for combining interactive and digital pedagogical technologies in the teaching of biophysics to medical students. The model is designed to move digitalization beyond electronic content delivery by linking each technology to a specific learning action: retrieval, prediction, visualization, experimentation, collaboration, data interpretation, and formative feedback. The framework integrates a learning management system, interactive concept questions, multimedia microlearning, virtual laboratories, shared data-analysis tasks, collaborative whiteboards or documents, and structured electronic assessment. It is organized around six biophysics modules: measurement and uncertainty, hemodynamics, membrane transport, bioelectricity, biomedical optics, and ultrasound. The methodological approach is design-oriented and draws on the principles of technological-pedagogical-content integration, blended learning, multimedia learning, guided inquiry, and competency-based assessment. The resulting architecture contains five layers: content representation, learner interaction, digital investigation, collaborative knowledge construction, and evidence-based assessment. Four implementation dimensions are specified: pedagogical coherence, scientific validity, digital accessibility, and data-responsible assessment. The article also proposes criteria for evaluating student products and an implementation matrix that allows teachers to choose technology according to didactic function rather than novelty. The model is intended as a practical basis for curriculum design and future empirical evaluation. It does not claim effectiveness without authentic classroom data; instead, it specifies what should be implemented and measured to determine whether digital integration improves conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, and application of biophysical principles in medical education.
