HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THE STUDY OF THE ARTISTIC LANGUAGE IN TURKISH LINGUISTICS

Abstract

This article analyzes the stages of the formation and development of artistic language studies in Turkic linguistics from a historiographical perspective. Scientific research devoted to the language of literary monuments of the Turkic peoples is systematized, and its main directions and research methods are examined. A comparative analysis is conducted of the scholarly approaches that emerged in the study of the language of literary works, from ancient Turkic written monuments to contemporary Karakalpak linguistics. The paper also provides a historiographical assessment of studies devoted to the language of classical Karakalpak poets and zhyraus, including Berdakh, Ajiniyaz, Kunhoja, and Zhiyen Zhyrau. The findings indicate that the early stage of artistic language research in Turkic linguistics primarily focused on grammatical and lexical features, whereas later studies increasingly emphasized text linguistics, linguopoetics, and cognitive analysis. The article identifies the principal stages of this scholarly evolution and outlines the prospects for the further development of artistic language studies in Karakalpak linguistics.
